Sculpture & Collage with Zanne Andrea

Saturday 18th September, 11am – 4pm

St Anne’s House, Brislington, Bristol BS4 4AB

Which objects mean something to you?

We will be using these items as a starting point to consider power structures & how history is interpreted & presented, how memory can influence our personal perceptions & experiences & how everyday objects can often signify certain associations and meanings.

We will then explore how all of these things might connect by focusing on creating small table top assemblage sculptures & collage works. Participants can bring their own photocopy images & found objects to work with and/or use the various items provided.

About Zanne….

Hi I’m Zanne, I’m an artist living & working in Bristol (though i’m originally from the USA).

My practice revolves around an interest in power, history & memory. By bringing past, present, found & made together I playfully reflect upon authenticity, & the symbols and signs of our cultural detritus, considering how we negotiate & conjure meanings between image, object, colour, form and material.
