Jack Gibbon

Jack is a producer and organisation director with a passion for supporting cross sector creative collaborations and developing the ecology for visual arts practice in Bristol. 

Jack founded Bricks and has a dual role as executive lead and an active producer developing projects.

Jack is co-lead of the Cultural Spaces Workgroup of Bristol DIY Arts Network supporting sector wide development.

2010 – 2018 Jack ran nomadic art gallery Antlers supporting Bristol based artists through pop up exhibitions, partnership commissions, consultancy and publishing. Antlers focused on supporting artists to explore a new side of their practice often encouraging some form of stretch. 

2017 – 2019 Jack worked on the research and development for Bricks, exploring new models to support artists in Bristol, this work was supported by Arts Council England Grants for Arts, Arts Fundraising and Philanthropy Fellowship & Postgraduate Certificate, University of Leeds, Clore Leadership Short Course and Creative United’s Prosper.

Jack also works as a freelance producer/ curator for organisations including The Architecture Centre, National Trust and Studio Upstairs. Prior to 2010 Jack worked as a studio assistant for Damien Hirst and was a practising artist involved in artist led projects in Stroud.
